Algorithm for Irish weather .. and Archimedes limericks

And onto the blog from ESOF 2012 in July in Dublin. It began with this wonderful poem on Archimedes. And closed, in one of the most informal and wonderful closing ceremonies, with a plea for an algorithm to predict the Irish weather.

But there was serious stuff in between –carbon capture storage, connecting renewables to the grid,  alternatives to animal testing, and mumpreneurs.

ESOF 2012 did not dismiss the previous ESOF’s concerns over Einsten coping with the modern day pressures on scientists. One speaker concluded that Einstein’s chances of getting hired as a freelancer, blogger or entrepreneur were bright.
